And for whatever reason the American people decided to take the media's word for it that the only thing they did that worked so far, will never work.

Two days after the good people on Minny did a general strike, 120 CEOs wrote Trump to tell him "I will bury you in the backyard if this doesn't stop." Two days after that Trump ordered the withdrawal of the occupying Gestapo army, and in essence fired both of its commanders. A couple days after that, dragging his feet like a disciplined child, Tom Homan left.
Now did that end ICE in Minny? No. But the army went home when it said it was gonna stay forever. It worked.

One major problem with traditional operating systems is that they require unnecessary data copies. Data copies are expensive for a number of reasons. First, the bandwidth of main memory is limited. Each copy made of the data is effected by this. Second, to copy data, the CPU must move it word-by-word from the source buffer to the destination. While the CPU is busy moving data it is unavailable to the user application. Finally, data copying often flushes useful information out of the cache. since the CPU accesses main memory through the cache, the process of copying data fills the cache with the data being copied — displacing potentially useful data that was resident in the cache before the copy.
The correct answers to the Trolley Problem is not playing it.

@nileane true. keepassxc alone doesn't include syncing. You can pair it with syncthing or a storage service like iCloud/Gdrive/Dropbox. Just stick your password db there, and syncing should be seamless. But I hear ya, not quite as easy as Bitwarden.
I really feel like we had several prominent FOSS organizations fail us by not saying "hey hold on, don't use generative AI in FOSS projects, we're not sure what the legal, community, environmental implications of this are but there are serious problems and we have a history of taking a stand" and I worry that maybe we lost our moment to be principled, except in niche spaces, and the walls are closing in
And... I'm really sad about it. I think we're underestimating the amount of damage that's happening. :\

@trabern Yeah, I focus on the things happening in orbit because that's where my training is, and where I can make the biggest difference (maybe). So many battles to fight.
